The comments in Facebook indicate this construction was in Syracuse as part of the 1936 grade elevation of the Delaware Lakawanna & Western. This two track bridge
over W. Onondaga was the longest two-track bridge in the US when built. In addition to recording a milestone in steel girder development, the photo indicates that cranes where rather small in the 1930s. Also the many safety rules that we now have had yet to be invented. Most notably, no hard hats.
