These are notes that I am writing to help me learn our industrial history. They are my best understanding, but that does not mean they are a correct understanding.
The West Fork was filled in after the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal was built. In this 1938 photo, I put a red box around where I think the bridge was. Then I zoomed into that area and got reminded that the resolution from an airplane in 1938 was not as good as the resolution from a satellite is today.
