Bridge Hunter indicates that UP, not BNSF, now owns this former CB&Q Bridge. (Update: This was a Rock Island route, not a CB&Q route. But CB&Q probably had trackage rights on it to connect their routes that were on both sides of the river. See more information at the bottom of these notes.)

Connor Leon Pack Who uses the line now?
Jeff Wojciechowski Connor Leon Pack the trackage in Atchison is all Union Pacific now.
Bob Franke The track is out on the east side of the bridge, a victim of the 2011 Missouri River flood.
Chris Marcie Cottrell I think originally it was a CB&Q branch off the Q’s mainline over on the Missouri side.

The route across this bridge wa not owned by the CB&Q. Other sources indicated Rock Island had it. But it makes sense that CB&Q had trackage rights over it. The CB&Q route on the west side of the river was abandoned in 1933.
