"Die Schleusenanlage steht auf einer gemeinsamen, fugenlosen Sohlplatte, die ca. 245 m lang und 55m breit ist." [Wikipedia] Does that say the lock chamber is 245m (804') long and 55m (180') wide? UPDATE: Nope. Per the comment "the dimensions of the actual chambers: 190m by 12.5m or about 623 ft by 41 ft."

Google Translate: "The lock system stands on a common, jointless floor slab that is approx. 245 m long and 55 m wide."
ReplyDeleteThe infobox seems to give the dimensions of the actual chambers: 190m by 12.5m or about 623 ft by 41 ft.
Thanks. I have added this info to my notes.
