On an overcast dreary day, the Montrose Local has an early departure from Grand Junction. The local is seen here crossing the Colorado River on a large truss bridge. Just to the left of the bridge is where the Gunnison River joins the Colorado River creating the junction. The tracks will follow the Gunnison River south got more than a few miles.
