There were two grain elevators near the IHB Blue Island freight yard. This elevator was more like near the IHB mainline.

Bob Lalich The elevator was operated by Pratt Food Co. They were in the livestock feed business and were switched by the Monon in addition to the IHB.

Bob Lalich Right on the Illinois border in Hammond. The Great Lakes Warehouse building and the silos are still standing.
