I already have notes about the
road and
railroad bridges and
L&D #26, but I wanted to provide an overview of the old bridges and dam since they are close together and they no longer exist.
They were near downtown Alton where the new US-67 bridge still exists.

The western abutment of the old dam along with its earthen dike still exists.
