King's Bridge

The Outdoor Adventures of Sam & Tim posted five photos with the comment:
As if this bridge was taken straight out of a storybook, πŸ“King’s Covered Bridge in Pennsylvania is a thing of beauty. It is 127 feet long and 12 feet wide and is open only to pedestrian foot traffic. 🚢🏻‍♀️
From what the sign says on the bridge, and several different websites we pulled research from—it looks like the original construction date is debatable. If it was truly built in 1802 this could mean it’s one of the first covered bridges in the United States.
According to several different sources; it’s more likely that it was built in the mid 1800s, then reconstructed in 1906 and then again in 2008.
This area is definitely beautiful and worth a stop if you are already traveling on Route 653. πŸš— Perfect place for a picnic, being right by Laurel Hill Creek. 🏞️

I found this bridge on a satellite map while looking for a town that was close to the King's Covered Bridge.

The center of the bridge is supported by an arch. We can see the top of the arch in the above photo and the legs of the arch in this photo.
