Donner Memorial Bridge, aka Rainbow Bridge, bypassed the original Lincoln Highway at the summit west of Truckee, California—a concrete arch span built on a compound curve and 7% grade, dedicated 1926. [From the LH collection at the Univ of Michigan, lhc0202.]

It makes you wonder how twisty the original Lincoln Highway was if this bypass was an improvement. Note that the bridge itself has a curve.
