1970 Murray MacKay Bridge over Bedford Basin at Burnside and Halifax, NS

Including the approaches, it is 1.2km (3/4 mile) long. [canambridges]
The suspended spans are 740m (0.46 mile) with a max clearance of 47m (154') at high water level. The towers are 96m (315') tall. The daily average vehicle crossing is 54,000. [HalifaxHarbourBridges_history]
I remember reading that the main span is 500m long, but I can't find that reference.

Rather than rehab the bridge, like they did the Macdonald Bridge during 2015-17, they are planning to replace this bridge with a cable-stayed bridge by 2040 because the towers and cables of this newer bridge can't support a 14-millimeter deck, which is required by today's code. [cbc]
