This bridge was replaced by the Parkersburg-Belpre Bridge in 1978 and then torn down in 1980.

| Dan Kemper posted Look at the line of Shanty boats on the WV side. The steel deck was installed in the early 50s to lighten the bridge so heavier loads could cross it. It was concrete or asphalt before that. It might of had a wood floor originally. The traffic was ferried cross the river during the time the steel deck was being installed. [The other bridge is the 1905 CSX/B&O Bridge.] Herbie Jenkins: It was taken before the floodwall was built during 1949-51.
