The Eisenhour Expy (I-290) needs pumps to remain dry

The flooding of the Congress Eisenhower Expy way in 1957 before it opened. Pumps were not completed.

I wonder if they have backup generators for the pumps because guess when we get most of our power outages --- during heavy rains. I wonder if this was one of the reasons they raised all of the bridges rather than lower the roadbed when they decided to improve the clearance under the bridges.
