Meyer Material is now one of the Ozinga concrete plants in the Chicago area. The plant rather obviously no longer uses rail service. The New Line is shared by CN/C&NW and CP/Milw to bring freight from their northern routes southwest to the west side of O'Hare were they cross at Bryn Mawr Junction. Follow the Bryn Mawr link for a description as to how the two routes continue on to their freight yards.

So he is looking North from Norma Junction with the Milwaukee Subdivision on the right and the Norma Seeger Connection Subdivision on the left.
In particular, from the left, we see the Live Wye, Dead Wye and the C&NW loco is on an industrial spur into the concrete plant.
It looks like that concrete plant is now inactive.

While studying the UP/C&NW Seeger Junction, I noticed that there is a small yard between Norma nd Deval Junctions. This reference, which has four photos near the end, taught me that in 1966 it was the Norma Coach Yard. That means that commuter service for at least some of the UP-NW trains ended in Des Plaines. The four photos contain E and/or F units and a cute little switcher as well as some bilevel cars.
