Aban/IC 1908 Brushy Creek Trestle was the highest IC bridge at 187'

(Bridge Hunter, Satellite)
This picture was taken on the IC's Birmingham District, near Haleyville, Al. on the route used by the City of Miami.
Its rail was 187 feet above the creek with a length of 1,231 feet. It was owned by Norfolk Southern when it was dismantled in 1996 because a 14-year old fell 160' in 1993. He survived but had debilitating injuries. His father sued even though the son was clearly trespassing. The Bridge Hunter link above accesses an unusually long description of the bridge.
