Gas Mains in the City
David Kaminski posted 231 S. State Street. July 1912. Peoples Gas employees working hard back in the day. Found this pic on my computer drive at work today. [1912 would be coal or manufactured gas. Notice just picks and shovels.]
David Kaminski commented on the above posting Mount Greenwood/Beverly area in 1964. [By 1964, the pipes are carrying natural gas instead of coal gas. That pipe struck me as a rather big one to be laid along a neighborhood street.]
