The Susquehanna River is on the other side of the bridge.

Jack Stoner posted his picture Empties west at CP Cannon - September 8, 2015. Cannon interlocking in the Pennsy era was named View interlocking for the tower that once stood about 100 feet east, or to the left of the Sherman Creek bridge featured in this image. View tower was named for the panoramic view of the Susquehanna river afforded the operator on duty. Just after dawn on this day, we are viewing the Susquehanna in reverse prospective of the PRR ops at View tower on the famed PRR Middle Division. |
