This 1887 bridge was part of the Madison part (as opposed to Chicago part) of Chicago, Madison & Northern. It also carried the Freeport, Dodgeville & Northern traffic north from the IC charter route. Since both of these branches have been abandoned, it now carries the Jane Addams Trail.
