Jeffrey Bossaer posted National Car Coupler Company in Attica, Indiana, now Harrison Steel Castings Company. The railroad at the time this picture was taken was the Chicago and Eastern Illinois, then Chicago Attica and Southern 1922-1946, Wabash 1946-1964, then N&W, and now Norfolk Southern. |
Jeffrey Bossaer commented on his posting NS RR spur through Attica, Indiana at Harrison Steel Castings Co., 2016. New ties for the NS RR spur in Attica, Indiana, 2016. At the first of January 2016 seven cars of corn derailed between Jackson and Mill Streets so improvements were made to the entire length of the spur to accommodate the increased traffic from the grain facility on the south edge of town. [The posting has more comments about the history of the railroads in Attica.] |
