| Craig Hensley Photography posted We're looking southeast at the iconic bridge in Blair that spans the Missouri River and separates Iowa from Nebraska. Home to Union Pacific's Blair sub, we spent some time here waiting, but unfortunately we weren't able to see anything run on this stretch of track. Blair, NE - September 2025 |

| railroad_journal posted Old Blair Rail Bridge That bridge was built in 1883 by George S. Morison, who was well known for building massive Whipple Truss spans over the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers at Blair, Nebraska. Keystone Bridge Company did the fabrication. It was built in by the Sioux City and Pacific Rail Road, replacing a car ferry. The old bridge featured large spans, with a latticed portal bracing. These spans included pinned connections and were set on stone substructures.
