Barrett Street Bridges over CSX/B&O Railyard and Three Fork Creek in Grafton, WV

(Bridge Hunter broke Mar 22, 2023; no Historic Bridges; Satellite)

The truss in the right background of this photo is part of the previous Barrett Street Bridge.

[Note the colonnades of the B&O depot peaking over the first car behind the locomotive.]

While studying the location of  the B&O D Tower, I noticed that the road label did not go over the bridge. That is normal in China. But in the USA, it generally means that the satellite image is old enough that the bridge has since been replaced.

A street view confirms that it has been replaced. I picked this 2018 view because that is when the new bridge first appeared. I'm guessing that it is a concrete girder bridge. (I do miss Bridge Hunter.)

The previous photo from the same location shows the old bridge.

Unfortunately, the driver did not leave Main Street back then so I can't get any closer views of the bridge other than zooming in.

This photo was probably taken from the bridge, looking West.
