Two Truss Bridges over Erie Canal near Lyons, NY

Road Bridge: (Bridge Hunter broke Mar 22, 2023; Historic Bridges; HAERSatellite)
CSX/NYC Bridge: (Bridge Hunter broke Mar 22, 2023; Historic BridgesSatellite)

I found this bridge while looking for the bridge in the video below. It appears to be a one-lane bridge.

"This bridge is a less common Pennsylvania though truss variety of fixed truss bridge built over the Erie Canal." [HistoricBridges]
"Single span, ten panel, steel Parker truss." The truss was finished in 1910, but the approach spans and deck were not completed until 1916. [HAER_data]

When I moved closer to the bridge, Google Maps switched to a view that is 10 years older than the above view. It is nice to see that New York did an extensive rehabilitation of this bridge.

I went to the other side to confirm that it can now handle a lot more than 3 tons.

This is the post that motivated these notes.
"This bridge is noted for its heavy skew, Baltimore truss configuration, and three truss line arrangement. Length given is an estimate." [HistoricBridges]
