We can clearly see in this view that the bridge is pin connected.
It seems the river generally has a strong flow.
These must be the three purifiers on the second floor.
This would be the third floor. They have removed all of the leather belts in the mill, but they did keep the lineshafts and sheaves. This makes me appreciate that the grist mill near
Muscatine, IA, kept their belts intact.
Jen took special note of the machine in the left side of Steven's photo above. I've never seen something like this before. I noticed that it is not labelled on the above diagram. Obviously, all of those bags going between the inside and outside were a maintenance headache.
In addition to maintaining a lot of leather belts, they had to maintain a lot of wooden ducts and legs.
