2009 Infinity Bridge over River Tees in Stockton, UK

(Satellite)

The Infinity Bridge in Dubai looks like the infinity symbol. I don't understand why this bridge is named the Infinity Bridge.

The design of this pedestrian bridge is asymmetric because a rowing course did not allow the use of a central pier. This 400' (123m) bridge was built in 2009 to last 120 years.
"The 32 concrete deck units, measuring 7.5 m long but just 125 mm thick with 380 mm-deep edge beams, were each cast in a single piece on site by the contractor. Drainage channels and overflow spouts were included in each unit, with supports for fittings and handrails also in place – an early example of what would now be called Design for Manufacture and Assembly. Sunset Over the Infinity Bridge – Stockton’s Modern Icon
As the sun dips below the horizon, the Infinity Bridge in Stockton truly lives up to its name – a glowing ribbon of light stretching across the Tees, mirrored perfectly in the calm waters below. The town lights begin to twinkle, the sky ignites with fiery colour, and the whole scene turns quietly spectacular.
It’s a view that reminds you how stunning modern architecture can be, especially when nature throws in a sunset this dramatic. And yes, those blue reflections underneath? Not an edit – just Stockton showing off a bit.

I did not notice that the two arches at the pier merge to become one at the approaches until I saw this view.
