The Kanawha Falls Bridge has now been closed for nearly eight years…
The bridge was shut down in November 2018 after a structural failure caused part of the bridge deck to drop about five inches. Inspections later uncovered additional deterioration and structural concerns.
Today, the nearly century-old bridge across the Kanawha River remains closed to traffic.
