An earlier bridge had a swing span.
The lift for this bridge was a Strauss design. This diagram is for a similar Strobel design.

This bridge was near the northern end of the NWP route. Some sources show that Southern Pacific owned this route for a while.
A new NWP was incorporated in 2006 and started freight operations on the part south of Windsor, CA, in 2011. [
