2026 Flood
I wish they got a view of the upstream side so that we can see how much debris was in the water. Maybe the debris got flushed down the river before it got this high.

| Meteorologist Ryan Morse posted An aerial perspective of the historic flooding in Noblesville, IN. Water has risen all the way up to Potter's Bridge. The White River hit a record crest this evening in this area, breaking the 1913 flood water levels. The park did its job and acted as a floodplain. The river level is a little lower in this video. This, and other reports, indicate the bridge survived the flood.

| WISH-TV posted The Hamilton County Parks & Recreation Department on the morning of Aug. 15, 2026, said its 156-year-old covered bridge, Potter's Bridge, north of Noblesville, Indiana, has survived the record flooding along the White River. "Our bridge is a testament to a community that is facing hardship and unprecedented events." Video from Justin Brammer Allen Patterson: The fact that this bridge is still standing is a tribute to the 1998 restoration engineer and covered bridge expert Jim Barker from Bloomington. He is a nationally renouned expert and also responsible for Hamilton County getting the Bell Ford Bridge. If this had happened prior to 1998 the Potters Bridge would have been gone. |
