1924 Baxter and 1924-1999 Loyall Bridges over Cumberland River in Harlan County, KY

Baxter: (Archived Bridge Hutner; Bridge Hunter; no Historic Bridges; HAER; Satellite)
Loyall: (Archived Bridge Hutner; Bridge Hunter; no Historic Bridges; Satellite)

Both of these bridges used the Baltimore truss design.

Baxter Bridge


Technically, this bridge is over Martins Fork because the Confluence of the Cumberland River is a few hundred feet downstream from here.

This two bridges carried US-119 before it was rebuilt to stay north of the Cumberland River.
