These "fender benders" are not rare. I think we are seeing them now because the
Baltimore accident has taught the YouTube algorithm to suggest
allisions with bridges.
All lanes were closed just before 1:30pm, Mar 30, 2024, after a barge struck it. It reopened about two hours later. [

Oklahoma Highway Patrol
posted eight photos with the comment: "US-59 south of Sallisaw at the Kerr Reservoir is completely shut down at this time due to a barge that has struck the bridge. Troopers are diverting traffic away from the area. The bridge is going to be shut down until inspections of the bridge can be made."
