BNSF/CB&Q Bridge over Rock River at Oregon, IL

(Bridge Hunter; no Historic Bridges; Satellite)

You don't see a lot of cute little truss bridges with cut-stone piers on Class I railroads anymore.

Dennis DeBruler According to a satellite image, https://www.google.com/.../@42.0009365,-89.../data=!3m1!1e3, the bridge still has these trusses. Railroads don't get the 80% Federal funding that new road bridges get, so they maintain their truss bridges. This bridge even still has its cut-stone piers.
