Lake Lynn Dam located on the Cheat River just below Point Marion, Fayette County in 1967. Roy Patton: 90 percent of the lake it impounds is in West Virginia. Cheat Lake. The dam is upstream from Point Marion, not downstream. Downstream would be the Mon River since the Cheat River meets the Mon River at Point Marion, why it’s called a point. |
Judging by the water downstream of the powerhouse, only half of the units are running.
Here, it looks like just 1 of 4 units are running.
This saves me from having to Google this dam. It is nice that the owners provided the basic facts.
