Banning Railroad Bridge, Perry Twp., Fayette Co., PA Built by the American Bridge Co. between 1929 - 1930 for the Pittsburgh & West Virginia RR and uses a “K” truss design. It is 1,582 ft in length and 166 feet in height. Significant amounts of coal have crossed this bridge. Currently operated by the Wheeling & Lake Erie RR. Rostraver Township Historical Society |

That whole line is full of wonderful bridges and trestles. The depth of that truss over the Yough is great, as is the one over the Monongehela near Brownsville. There is also an impressive trestle that runs under the PA Turnpike Mon-Fayette Expressway's massive Joe Montana bridge. There are two other smaller but unusual trestles (which I think are WLE heritage) over I-376 between Rook Yard and 376's Fort Pitt Tunnels.
