"Significance: The Watson Mill Bridge is the longest of sixteen surviving covered
bridges in the state of Georgia, and one of four surviving covered bridges
attributed to Washington W. King, son of prominent bridge builder and
former slave Horace King. The bridge has been restored as the focal point
of the Watson Mill Bridge State Park." [

The above view is of the upstream side because the dam in the photo below makes it obvious that this is the downstream side.
Mark Krancer posted 15 photos with the comment: "One of the most picturesque state parks in Georgia, Watson Mill Bridge contains the longest covered bridge in the state, spanning 229 feet [70m] across the South Fork River. Built in 1885 by Washington (W.W.) King, son of freed slave and famous covered-bridge builder Horace King, the bridge is supported by a town lattice truss system held firmly together with tree nails. At one time, Georgia had more than 200 covered bridges; today, less than 20 remain."
