John Sery posted This is a not often seen Howard Fogg painting that was commissioned by the railroad for its 1964 annual report. The inside caption reads: " P&LE's new bridge over the Monongahela River near Homestead Pa., installed in1964 in replacement of a 62 year old structure. From an original painting by Howard Fogg". ( note, while there was a GP7 #5682 on the roster, I cannot find a record of one ending in 711 as depicted on the second unit). |
