I checked an old aerial photo to see if it had rail access. It didn't. (Update: It did. Please read the comment below.) But when I saw the slip I knew it was in
CB&Q's 1860's industrial park. CB&Q had freight houses on the other side of Halsted.
The neighboring buildings also still exist.
There actually was rail access to the building, there's a photo of the building in an American Flyer catalog I have, which shows a locomotive and boxcar entering the building. The book "American FLyer: Classic Toy Trains" does state that there was a rail connection.
