I used Bing because I could not get Google to label the river. Bing indicates that this bridge is over the Catawba River.

The first diesel is a heritage unit. The second one is a cab unit, and it is probably almost as old as the 1950 steam locomotive. The video also records the Spencer-Asheville excursion coming out of the Swannanoa Tunnel at 6:48.
