Terwillegar Park Footbridge over North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, AB

(Satellite)

A stressed ribbon bridge is a very shallow suspension bridge because the suspension cables are built into the deck. The bridge abutments have to handle a large lateral force.

Tanweer Malik posted four photos with the comment: "A stressed ribbon pedestrian bridge over North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Canada. This is world’s second longest stress ribbon bridge (262 m)."
