North Harvey Junction: B&OCT vs. IHB

That chemical plant (HAAG?) is still standing and in use!
My old IHB map is difficult to read at this spot but the first initial of the plant at the time, early 1950s, was either H or M. The 1956 Directory of Industries lists Haag Laboratories in Blue Island as an IHB customer. According to Google maps, the name is now Rhodia. The old building must be close to 100 years old.

Yes, thanks! Any idea what the industry in the SE quadrant of the crossing was? My IHB map is pretty blurry at that spot and I can only tell that the name started with M.

Scott Griffith posted two photos with the comment: "is this Harvey jct?"

Harvey Junction is further south.

The tower was in the southwest quadrant.

In the photo, the gasometer looks full. The arrow points to Midway Airport and indicates "10 MI."
