US-65 Bridges over Lake of the Ozarks at Warsaw, MO

Missouri's Historic Highways posted three photos with the comment: "March 23, 1935 - The new US 65 Bridge over the Lake of the Ozarks at Warsaw opened to traffic. The open spandrel concrete span was replaced in 1974."

RJ McAllister: If memory serves, just west of the current four-lane bridge.

It appears that it was east of today's bridge. Where Warsaw Ave. is today.

This view is from the 1935 US-65 route. Obviously, the new bridge uses steel girders.

MoDOT must have liked open-spandrel bridges because the Old US-65 Bridge at Branson, MO, is similar.
