The dam is 429' (131m) tall, and the flood control capacity is 1,000,000 acre feet.
"The Jeff L. Taylor hydroelectric power plant was completed in 1984."
[I could not find any information on the power plant.]

The dam can exceed its 1,000,000 acre-feet capacity because it has a 10' (3m) "surcharge pool."
The outflow was 15kcfs and that was causing minor flooding downstream.

Kings River Concervation District
$638m is needed to increase the height by 12' (3.7m) to add 120,700 more acre feet of storage.
