posted eight photos with the comment: "That abandoned railroad bridge in Yelm was once a Northern Pacific mainline, and currently it's scheduled to be turned into a pedestrian bridge. Possibly 200 feet, Its higher than it looks in the photos. . Constructed in 1904 And abandoned in 1993 the last train would have been freight as passenger trains on this line was long gone before then. This line is way older than I thought, as it was a replacement for a different bridge before 1904. I wonder how long these railroads have existed in Washington. The earliest graffiti was from 1999."

Allan Ohlsen: This is part of what was the Prairie Line, Tenino to Tacoma. It was NP mainline until bypassed by the current mainline to Tacoma.
