Napoleon, Defiance & Western/MAW/Wabash Bridge over Maumee River in Defiance, OH

Satellite
I copied this image because the long
shadows make it easy to see the
truss structure.
(Bridge Hunter, not in Historic Bridges; Satellite)

If you pan south on the satellite image, you will see there is a rather long embankment on the south side of the river. I noticed it because the railroad goes over two roads in a town that otherwise has grade crossings.

Jim Etchie posted five images concerning this bridge.

Hopefully, Napoleon, Defiance & Western is maintaining this truss bridge as well as improving the track.

The Napoleon Defiance and Western comes back into Defiance Ohio yesterday [4/8/2016], crossing the Maumee River bridge as it returns to the yard.

Wabash Railroad bridge at Defiance Ohio. Now the NDW Railroad part of Pioneer Lines. Pioneer Lines has really improved the trackage.
The Napoleon, Defiance & Western Railway (NDW) spans 58.2 miles from Woodburn, Indiana, to Liberty Center, Ohio. The NDW is located in the northeast portion of Ohio and is in the heart of the state’s manufacturing sector.

Brian Caswell posted a drone photo of an intermodal train being pulled by two BNSF locomotives on NS tracks.
