Tampa Bay Gateway Expressway and TyBot

There is no point adding more lanes to the Frankland Bridge unless more lanes are built on the land. So that is what this project does. It is over a half-billion dollars.

The Walsh Gruop posted
Read about the TyBot robot that tied 11,044 rebar intersections at our Gateway Expressway project in Florida, setting a 2022 record. https://www.enr.com/.../54387-with-11-000-tie-shift-tybot... [paycount]
The TyBot rebar tying robot, manufactured by Advanced Construction Robotics, can tie an average of 36,000 rebar intersections in a 40-hour week, equal to four to six ironworkers.

"In one shift May 12, the TyBot robot tied 11,044 rebar intersections on a job site in Florida, setting a 2022 record....Nix says TyBot usually works in 10-hour shifts, replacing four or five workers who, depending on skill level, can tie 200-300 intersections per hour. "
They are now working on IronBot, which would lay down the rebar ahead of TyBot. Two TyBots would be needed to keep up with one IronBot.
