The Walsh Gruop posted Read about the TyBot robot that tied 11,044 rebar intersections at our Gateway Expressway project in Florida, setting a 2022 record. https://www.enr.com/.../54387-with-11-000-tie-shift-tybot... [paycount] The TyBot rebar tying robot, manufactured by Advanced Construction Robotics, can tie an average of 36,000 rebar intersections in a 40-hour week, equal to four to six ironworkers. Photo courtesy of Advanced Construction Robotics "In one shift May 12, the TyBot robot tied 11,044 rebar intersections on a job site in Florida, setting a 2022 record....Nix says TyBot usually works in 10-hour shifts, replacing four or five workers who, depending on skill level, can tie 200-300 intersections per hour. " They are now working on IronBot, which would lay down the rebar ahead of TyBot. Two TyBots would be needed to keep up with one IronBot. |
