1931,1989 9mw Lock and Dam #5 on Allegheny River near Freeport, PA

Hydropower was added in 1989 of about 9mw. [EagleCreek]

 The Freeport Rail Bridge is in the upper-left corner of this photo. That help confirm that this is Lock #5 instead of Lock #8.

🚨 Navigation Notice for the Allegheny River 🚨
Due to high water levels, navigation has been temporarily suspended at two locations on the #AlleghenyRiver:
⚠️ Lock & Dam 5:
River stage has exceeded 16 feet
Forecasted to crest at 17.1 feet Monday afternoon
Another crest of 16.4 feet expected Wednesday morning
Levels should drop below 16 feet by Thursday morning
[It went over a foot above the forecasted max crest.]
⚠️ Lock & Dam 8:
River stage has exceeded 14.2 feet
Forecasted to crest at 14.5 feet Monday afternoon
Another crest of 14.0 feet expected Wednesday morning
Levels expected to fall below 14 feet by Wednesday afternoon
