Phil Beech posted four photos with the comment: "Newport Transporter Bridge Newport, South Wales UK. One of only 2 left in the UK. You used to be able to climb a stairway to the top gantry - impressive structure and views!"
Mark Watson: Not to forget Warrington and Middlesbrough transporter bridges!
Phil Beech: Mark - I should have added that - at the time these photos were taken - 2018 - it was one of two working transporter bridges. I understand Warrington is now permanently closed and Middlesbrough shut for safety reasons in 2019. Newport bridge is closed at the moment as they are building a large heritage centre next to it. It is planned to reopen this year I believe.
