Aban/Camas Prairie Railroad (CSP) Wood Trestle near Konkolville, ID

(Bridge Hunter; no Historic Bridges; Satellite)

I continue to be surprised by how much wood is still used in bridges. Although, in the 21st Century, wood trestles are normally used in the approaches rather than in the bridge itself. (Update: a couple of days latter I learned that at least BNSF has been replacing its wood trestles.)

This trestle is huge, no longer in use but they still maintain it.

Because the street view car went down the road that goes through the trestle, we can see construction details that are not normally available.
