Ian Hapsias posted CTC's D.A. Grimm working the West Elizabeth, PA landing on the Monongahela River. Photo taken prior to being sold to Ohio River Salvage Co, and eventually Superior Marine at Bellaire, OH. Dustin Null: What year do you think it was built..? Ian Hapsias: Dustin Null Built in 1958 by St. Louis Shipbuilding. Repowered in 2009 with CAT motors. I’ve found this website to be extremely valuable to get this info. https://www.towboatgallery.com/D_A_Grimm-0275049.php?mnu= |
It is a shame that the street view driver did not go down Water Street on the north side of the river. But if he had, I would have never seen this street running. The railroad that goes down the street was the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie. It is now CSX and Union RR (Pittsburgh).
