David Miller: Millau Viaduct by engineer Michel Virlogeux and architect Norman Foster. I'm always surprised when an engineer and an architect collaborate: E.g., Owen Williams and Maxwell Ayrton's concrete bridges on the A9 Great North Road in Scotland.
