PA-43 Ronald "Smokey" Bakewell Bridge over Monongahela River near Alicia, PA

(no Bridge Hunter; no pghbridges; Satellite)

This bridge was named for a fallen Vietnam War Soldier. [observer-reporter]

Bridge Hunter doesn't have it because they probably consider it to be a Ugly Concrete Eyesore Bridge (UCEB), but it think it looks rather good. I was not able to find how long the spans are.

The M/V WINNIE C at MM 58 Monongahela river.
Shawn Pinkerton: 10 ,15 miles... that picture was taken from alicia dock between maxwell and Brownsville.

So that is the PA-43 bridge in the background.
Shawn Pinkerton: yes

Before this bridge was opened in July 2012, people had to use a 60' cable ferry that was upriver at Fredericktown, PA. The ferry's last run was in Aug 2013.[uppermon]

I presume this is where the ferry used to dock. There is still a "Ferry" label on Google Maps.
