Chicago railroad bridges that were approved as Landmark Designations on Sept. 7, 2006. It is interesting that they picked the Illinois Central swing bridge over the Sanitary and Ship Canal instead of the Santa Fe, Belt Railway of Chicago, or Northern Illinois swing bridges.
