West Newton Pa. "Remember When"
posted two photos with the comment: "Does anybody know where the dam was located in West Newton? It was located up the river between Reduction and West Newton or across from Buddtown. This dam was built for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad to feed the steam locomotives with water. As a kid I remember walking on the dam. The center of the dam had been damaged, but the 2 ends were still intact. The second photo is a Google Map image, and you can still see remnants of the dam today."

West Newton Pa. "Remember When" commented on his post Maybe this can help with the location. The blue dot in the bottom center is where the dam is located. |

Most of the Google Earth images are just trees, but I found a couple with the dam showing.
